NOTE TO ALL DESIGNERS: Please remember when creating HTML layouts that you do not use general global selectors (link, body, h1, etc.) when styling your layout! It will cause the site to break on that page. When styling your layout, make sure that your selectors are unique to that specific layout or clan/group. (instead of .welcome it's .clanwelcome).

The Medicine Cat Pilon a very important object to Fallclan Medicine Cat's. A Pilon, or soul stone, is a blessed stone collected from the Great Waterfall in FallClan. When Fallclan MCA's reach the point in their training. StarClan will guide the new medicine cat apprentice towards their destined Pilon at the base of the Waterfall. However, and untrained cat will be sucked into the Pilon and pulled into StarClan. It is there that the current medicine cat will bless their apprentice's stone with a bit of their soul, and StarClan will follow suit. Afterwards, the apprentice will then have control over their Pilon, allowing them to touch the stone freely without being teleported to StarClan. Other cats must not touch a medicine cat's Pilon, as their souls cannot return from StarClan once teleported. From then on, the medicine cats may use their Pilons to contact StarClan immediately rather than having to make the trek all the way to Moon Creek. But beware - a Pilon can only act as a bridge between worlds for so long. After too much time has elapsed, the bond will snap, leaving the medicine cat's soul in StarClan forever. When that happens - a medicine cat's death - their Pilon will turn black regardless of what color is was and lose all its power. It is then up to the apprentice, now medicine cat, to return the Pilon to Moon Creek where it dissolves and releases all the souls within.
ACTIVITY EXPECTATIONS
Should you be chosen for one of these positions, you will be expected to meet a minimum of role-play posts per week. This will be measured in a staff log that is sent out every Sunday. Should you not meet this minimum three weeks in a row (earning you three strikes), you will be approached about demotion.
* Medicine Cat: 10 role-play posts per week
* Medicine Cat Apprentice: 7 role-play posts per week
This means any posts outside of a role-play post (adding characters to the joining thread, marking your characters in an activity check, signing up for a plot, claiming kittens in a litter, etc.) will not count.
Throughout these tryouts, your activity will be monitored. Should you not meet our expectations throughout the tryout, you will not be selected. Should multiple candidates qualify for these positions, a second part of these tryouts (in role-play format) will be posted.

This is just an overview of the ceremonies and festivals that Medicine Cats will have to partake in. This is why activity for the MC and MCA in Fallclan because majority of the ceremonies and festivals revolve around the Medical positions.
Hosting the Kitten Ritual and the Apprentice Ritual is one of the most important rituals that the Medicine Cat will preform. As this is a stepping stone for a halfling becoming an apprentice and an apprentice becoming a warrior.
Another important ritual in Fallclan is the Soulbinding ritual. This ritual is Fallclan's form a marriage and its a combined ritual completed by the leader and medicine cat, and it involves a clan wide celebration.
The Day of the Dead Festival the medicine cat and medicine cat apprentice will lead the clan to the burial grounds so members of the clan can remember all the members that have passed away during the past year.

ROLEPLAY SITUATIONS

1) An apprentice by the name of Treepaw limps his way into the medicine den, nervousness on his features though he tries his best to look brave. A small trail of blood follows him before he slumps into a sit in the entrance. Lifting his paw, he winces at the sight and grows a little paler. He’s losing quite a bit of blood and the paw seems to be twisted unnaturally. What do you do to assist him without stressing his already shocked mind?
2 ) You’re out in FallClan’s gorgeous and unique terrain, taking your time looking for the necessary herbs to fill your store for the coming leaf-fall and leaf-bare. The air is crisp and cool but refreshing and for a moment you lose yourself in the tranquility of it all, until a growl sounds from your left. Opening your eyes, you glance over to discover a trespasser in FallClan’s land – one that seems to have a mission. He’s out for blood. What do you do? Do you take a democratic position or unleash the inner warrior within?
3) It’s time to pick your first apprentice. You’re nervous, but with StarClan at your side, you know no matter your choice, you will be following the path your ancestors laid for you. Four young felines are lined up in front of the rock you’re perched upon. Eight eyes stare up at you eagerly, shining in anticipation. Each has a unique set of traits you know could merge or clash with your own. You must take your heart out of the situation, though, and do what is best for your Clan. They will be the future healer of your Clan and care for the health and spiritual passing of your Clan. With this in mind, which apprentice do you choose?
* Apprentice A ) The highly excitable and energetic one who can barely keep his paws on the ground despite his best efforts, seeming to vibrate with excitement. He’s constantly blurting out sentences as if he can’t stand the silence that fills the air. He could serve as a great diplomatic bridge between StarClan and your Clanmates, but is he reliable with that much energy and difficulty focusing?
* Apprentice B )The calm and stoic one who keeps her eyes fixed upon you, though quickly glances away as if out of fear. She’s intimidated by the power you wield and the energy flowing from your pelt. Too intimidated to properly hold her ground under your gaze. She seems to be a good listener and would serve as a great apprentice under your helping hand, but does she have what it takes to stand up for what’s right and let her voice be heard? Can she face conflict and tension without cowering?
* Apprentice C ) The arrogant and confident one that keeps his head held high and smirks up at you from your perch, as if believing despite the height difference you’re no better than he is. He has plans to quickly outpace you in every field you will teach him in the coming moons and once he replaces you, he’ll be able to live his life freely without the cautious gaze of his mother on his back. Is he dependable or will he lead the Clan into darkness due to his ego?
* Apprentice D )The calm and friendly one with a gentle smile on his face, though he’s no longer staring up at you, but rather following the intricate flight pattern of a bumble bee as it buzzes about his head. He looks ready to reach out and smack it with a gleeful laugh, though he reigns himself in as much as he can. Still, that bumble bee dances around his face and head, singing its merry tune, and he can’t look away… Is someone who so easily loses his head in the clouds a proper medicine cat apprentice? Or will he doom a patient of yours by giving them the wrong antidote due to daydreaming?
